We are extremely saddened to share the news of the passing of Mike Lee, retired MPD Deputy Chief and President of the Association of City Retired Employees (ACRE). Mike was a truly great man who cared deeply about people. He fought hard everyday for the rights and benefits of retirees. There was no one in the city who understood pensions and healthcare better than he did. Mike was also an important part of the fight to get the Public Safety Referendum passed. Mike was a deeply religious man who viewed all people the same. He lived what he preached and treated everyone with respect and dignity. God bless you sir. You will be missed and never forgotten.
